Many were disappointed Mr Trump had not explicitly disavowed the white nationalist leader after meeting him twice as the president-elect in New York and New Jersey. The president-elect has faced mounting criticism, particularly from Republicans who are alarmed that he has failed to condemn white supremacists, neo-Nazis and members of the Ku Klux Klan.
